Turn(ab)out Is Fair Play!

Well, it took longer than I had hoped but I am finally building turnouts. The photo shows the first 5, each better than the last, all #6. I have 3 #5 right-hand turnouts to build and then I can lay some track.

Of course, I need to do a variety of tasks to install switch machines first before finishing the track install.

Once that is done, I'm going to run a power bus, add feeders to the track, hook up the electronics, and run a train around the layout. I will still have a ton of work to do on this first track, not counting the remaining track (and 43 turnouts), but psychologically, it will be a major milestone.
