Pink Mountain Extension Plus
In reviewing the scenery, I realized that I needed to complete the scenery up to the bridge before installing it (I haven't built it yet). So out came the pink foam again. Vertical foam supports the flat layers. I've carved the slopes to somewhat match the adjacent mountain and will be covering it with plaster cloth and sculptamold.
Once that's done, I start work on the other side of the bridge area. I'm thinking of using a vertical piece of foam at the left edge, then cardboard steps the remainder.
At the train show, after my clinics, I sat down and made some mockups of a few of the buildings I will be installing later on the layout.
There will be 4 more along the hillside there as well as two across from them (depots).
In addition, I picked up a (ab)used building that, while it probably won't remain on the layout, has a name similar to my railroad.
It seems to have lights but it needs some repairs (mostly re-gluing) before I do anything with it.
Unfortunately, any further work will have to wait until the end of the month, as I'm going back East on vacation.
Until next time, thanks for reading!
